The Efficiency of Nanoparticles on Improving Seed Germination and Mitigating Ammonium Stress of Water Spinach (Ipomoea aquatica Forssk.) and Hami Melon (Cucumis melo L.)

Nitrogen, despite being essential for the growth of plants, can pose serious threats to ecological environment when applied excessively as fertilizers. The application nanomaterials has a catalytic effect on crop and restorative environment. However, their mitigating ammonium stress in crops is poorly understood. In present study, roles nanoparticles magnesium oxide (nMgO) hydroxyapatite (nHA) with different rates (0, 10, 100, 500, 1000 mg L−1) seed germination seedling water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica Forssk.) Hami melon (Cucumis melo L.) were investigated, capacity optimal rate two was analyzed. results showed that nMgO nHA at an 100 L−1 significantly promoted spinach, followed by increase potential, rate, index, while alleviating inhibitory NH4+ spinach. As melon, reduced seedlings promoting antioxidant enzyme activity, found be involved reducing root seedlings. This study provided reference how select appropriate type optimize method will used agriculture future.
